Cookies Policy
A cookie is a small text file that is downloaded onto ‘terminal equipment’ (eg a computer or smartphone) when it is used to access a website. It allows the website to recognise the device and store some information about the user’s visit.
There are many uses to which cookies can be put. The EACA uses them in the following ways:
- To monitor and record, anonymously, the entry page, the pages visited and the path taken through the website. This allows us to improve users’ experience of our website, and to arrange the structure of the site for the most efficient access
- To record temporarily the access authority level for logged-in users, to preserve their access level as they move through the website.
Useful information about cookies can be found at: http://www.allaboutcookies.org
