Brahms Requiem

Sing Brahms’ Requiem – A Day of Music, Passion & Community!

Come and be part of something extraordinary! Join us for a full day of singing Brahms’ magnificent Ein deutsches Requiem (yes, we’re singing it in German!) under the inspiring direction of renowned conductor and choral trainer Gavin Carr.

Gavin is Music Director of the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus, Bath Minerva Choir, is Founder-Director of Chorus Angelorum and, since mid-2018, has been Chorus Master of the Philharmonia Chorus. He has guest conducted with the BBC Symphony Chorus and the London Symphony Chorus as well as the Philharmonia Chorus, and in September 2017 was appointed to the vocal faculty of the Royal Academy of Music, where he currently teaches classes in English Song and the Oratorio repertoire.

Whether you're a seasoned choral singer or simply love great music, this is your chance to dive into one of the most powerful works in the classical repertoire. We’ll be joined by two talented student soloists, and the day will culminate in a relaxed, informal performance at 4:45 PM, open to friends and family — no tickets required!
