Works by Female Composers

Get ready for a day of music-making that will lift your spirits and your voice! On Saturday, 25 October 2025, we’re hosting an exciting singing workshop at St Mary’s Church, Reigate, shining a spotlight on the brilliance of female composers. Under the dynamic leadership of Leslie Olive, you’ll explore choral gems that are as inspiring as they are beautiful.
The programme features the stirring Da Vinci Requiem by Cecilia McDowall — a modern masterpiece that has captivated audiences worldwide — alongside the rich, lyrical music of Eleanor Daley and Florence Price. This is your chance to sing these stunning works, discover new favourites, and celebrate the genius of women in music.
Our workshop runs from 10:30 am – 4:00 pm, filled with energising rehearsals, refreshment breaks (with plenty of tea, coffee and cake!), and an informal performance to share the joy at the end of the day. And all this for just £25 including music hire — or only £5 for full-time students (aged 17+).
Places are already filling fast — so don’t miss your chance to be part of this inspiring celebration of women in music. Book your place today and join us for a workshop that promises to be unforgettable!
