Monday 18 September was a very special rehearsal. Sadly our conductor, Leslie Olive, was unable to attend, but the show must go on! We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our accompanist Jonathan Lilley for stepping in as conductor at the last minute, and a huge round of applause to long-time friend of the choir, Ian Le Grice, who also saved the day at the piano.
It was a pleasure to welcome several wonderful guests from all voice parts. Jonathan led us all as we rehearsed the Brahms with enthusiasm, then brought a sense of peace as we closed the evening with Lauridsen's O Magnum Mysterium. The atmosphere and sound were truly enchanting, and it's moments like these that remind us of the power of music to unite and inspire. Thank you all for being a part of this unforgettable evening!
As we move forward, we have a vibrant term ahead with another workshop, this time for upper voices, and three exciting concerts on the horizon!
